Service & Product Policy & Promise
To All of our Guests:
As the owner’s of Avant Gard, we promise to all of our guests that you will be fully satisfied with the services you receive and the products you purchase.

If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with the service that you requested, please contact Avant Gard within ten days so we can work together to ensure that you are satisfied. If a guest receives a color treatment and is not comfortable with the shade of color chosen by you and your designer, we will gladly make any changes necessary to make you happy. If a guest receives a requested color treatment and then decides to change the color requested, there will be a charge for that service.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with a product purchased at Avant Gard, please return the unused portion (not less than half full) within 30 days of the original purchase for an in-store credit to be used towards a service or product. Avant Gard does not, under any circumstances, give cash refunds.

Making an Appointment

When you call for an appointment, you will be greeted by our trained front desk coordination team. Their job is to direct you thru our service menu and expedite your appointment as easily as possible. Our front desk staff will give you a “price estimate” when asked, but they are not trained as hair designers, nor can they see your hair over the phone, therefore, they cannot give you an exact price. Components that would change price could be the following: hair length, amount of color or product used, technique used, time needed for service. If price is a question, please talk to your designer prior to application to receive an exact price.

Avant Gard believes that you, our guest, deserve the highest quality product and education by our trained team members. Our team of designers goes thru an extreme training process, unlike any other salon. Therefore, not only do we have strict criteria to have a designer behind the chair, every staff member must attend on-going education and testing, both in and out of the salon. This will ensure you will receive, “The very best team work in the state and pretty much the entire country.”

While looking over our menu, you will notice several levels or designers. The levels are determined on the length of time the designer has been at Avant Gard and the education level the designer has received through our training program. Be assured, all of our designers have passed vigorous tests and training to be on any level at Avant Gard and are highly qualified to meet any and all of your hair needs.

Child Policy

At Avant Gard, we love and enjoy children. We, as a team, feel we should put their safety first. A salon atmosphere can be extremely dangerous to unsupervised children (ie hot irons, sharp scissors, cords, swinging chairs, busy atmosphere). To prevent any unnecessary hazards, our insurance company has asked we implement the rules listed below. We believe these rules will make a safe and relaxing experience for everyone. Thank you to all who observes the following conditions:
  1. Children can only be in the salon area while receiving a service.
  2. We will ask parents to reschedule any service over 45 minutes if no child care supervision is available.
  3. Please accompany all children to restroom.
  4. For your child’s safety, all children should be supervised in waiting area while parents are receiving services.


No Show Policy

Your time is very important to Avant Gard. After making your appointment, we will call to confirm 48 hours prior to your visit as a friendly reminder. If, for any reason, you cannot make your visit, we ask for 48 to 24 hour cancellation. This allows us time to contact another valued guest to fit them into that time frame. We understand unforeseen emergencies do come up; therefore, Avant Gard has set a policy. If you do not show up, cancel last minute, and/or are late for your visit time three times, we will have to ask you to pre-pay for your next visit prior to making an appointment. We ask for your understanding in this matter and hope we never have to implement this policy.
